Tummzy - More Than a Heat Patch
We believe that menstruation shouldn't be taboo. With Tummzy, we give you natural warmth for greater well-being – and at the same time, we set an example for self-care, female empowerment, and genuine ease in everyday life.
About Tummzy
Your Cycle. Your Tummzy – Period.
Tummzy – inspired by the English word tummy – is a young start-up from Lucerne, founded in 2020, that focuses on the needs of women.
Our mission: To develop products that support you during your period – so you feel free, strong, and confident. We want to break taboos, celebrate self-care, and empower you to stand up for your goals. Every day. Without compromise. Period.
Our product, the Tummzy Uterus Warmer , is a natural and self-heating menstrual heat patch that you can easily stick onto your clothing. It provides up to 12 hours of soothing warmth – discreetly, safely, and completely without medication or chemical additives.
Our Story: From Idea to Mission
Many of you wanted to know how it all began – here we tell you the story behind Tummzy.
-
2017: The Discovery
Our co-founder Sophie spent six months in Asia at the end of 2017 – and by chance discovered the "Uterus Warmer" in a store. Since she herself suffered from severe period pain, especially since she stopped using hormonal contraception, she immediately grabbed it. Impressed by its effectiveness, she bought several packs – for herself and her friends.
-
2018: The Spark of an Idea (Back in Switzerland)
Back home, Sophie told her partner and now co-founder Patrick about her discovery. As supplies soon ran out, the question arose: Why not organize more supplies—and perhaps make this help available to other women in Switzerland?
-
2018: The search for the right partner
It quickly became apparent that many women wanted a little helper like Tummzy – but one that was modern and stylish. So Sophie and Patrick began searching for a suitable manufacturer.
After numerous failed attempts, dubious offers, and what felt like a thousand emails, they finally found their dream producer.
-
2018: The design is created
Now it was time for the details – the packaging. Together with their good friend Laura, Sophie and Patrick developed the corporate design, the packaging, and the layout of the patch. After many hours of work and intensive discussions, the result finally met their high standards.
-
2019: Building partnerships
In spring 2019, Sophie and Patrick traveled to China to gain first-hand experience. They toured the factory, spoke with the employees, shared their vision, and laid the foundation for a long-term partnership.
Back in Switzerland, final adjustments were made – and production started in September 2019.
-
2020: The Launch
Exactly on New Year's Day 2020, Sophie and Patrick held the first finished products in their hands – an unforgettable moment!
Since then, the Tummzy Uterus Warmer has been available and accompanies women through their periods – with strengthening warmth. We are infinitely grateful for your support. 💜
-
From 2021: Growth and attention
In 2021 and 2022, Tummzy grew steadily – not only through enthusiastic customers, but also through increasing media attention. Numerous magazines, online portals, and lifestyle platforms reported on our mission to remove the taboo from menstruation and empower women.
-
2023: 14,000 customers & 350 sales outlets
In 2023, we reached a new milestone with Tummzy: Over 14,000 customers already trust the Uterus Warmer. Tummzy is also available in almost 350 pharmacies and drugstores, as well as from select gynecologists throughout Switzerland – an important step toward providing even more women with easy access to warmth and well-being.
-
2024: Professionalization of sales
In February 2024, another significant step followed: the collaboration with Steinberg Pharma . This enabled distribution to be professionalized and expanded – with the goal of making Tummzy even more widely available and continuing the success story. Tummzy - Uterus Warmer is now available in over 650 pharmacies and drugstores throughout Switzerland.
-
2025: Complete redesign of the website
In the summer of 2025, the Tummzy website was completely redesigned. With a fresh design, clear structure, and modern user experience, we want to better inform, inspire, and support our community—while continuing to break the taboo surrounding menstruation.
We Stand Behind Tummzy
Sophie and Patrick created TUMMZY so that women no longer feel restricted – not on any day.
Sophie was inspired during her several months in the Far East. Upon returning to Switzerland, it was clear to her: all women should have access to TUMMZY. With the first product, she created a platform – for strong girls and women who let nothing and no one hold them back.

Patrick was made aware of this through his partner Sophie. For him, it's clear: gender differences shouldn't play a role, pain isn't necessary—and taboos must be broken.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Tummzy – answered briefly and clearly.
How do I activate Tummzy?
The patch warms up as soon as you open the small packet by hand. Through contact with oxygen, it warms up in less than 5 minutes and reaches its full heat output after 20–30 minutes.
Does Tummzy really help with stomach pain?
Yes – heat relaxes muscles and thus relieves cramps. Tummzy is your discreet hot water bottle for on the go, providing up to 12 hours of deep heat.
Can Tummzy be applied directly to the skin?
No, please don’t. Tummzy should not be applied directly to the skin – the heat may cause skin irritation. Instead, stick it onto a T-shirt or the inside of your pants, over the painful area.
How warm does Tummzy get?
Up to 53°C. Since heat perception varies from individual to individual, you should remove the patch if it gets too hot.
How long does delivery take?
Within Switzerland and Liechtenstein: 3–5 business days (free shipping with Swiss Post). We currently do not offer international shipping.
